Developmental Disabilities Ministries (DDM) invites compassionate individuals to join our Host Home Anchor Family Program, providing a safe, faith-filled environment for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). An Anchor Family’s mission is to glorify God by meeting the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families.

DDM supports you every step of the way with comprehensive training, ongoing guidance, and a strong support network to ensure both you and your new family member succeed. Anchor Family FAQs

Q: What training will I receive?

A: DDM provides comprehensive training on topics such as caregiving, communication, and safety. Additional ongoing training will be available to address specific needs.

 

Q: What if I face challenges?

A: DDM’s staff is here to support you. Contact your program manager for guidance, resources, or assistance.

 

Q: How will I be compensated?

A: As a Host Home Provider, you will receive a stipend to support the individual’s care and living expenses. Details will be discussed during your onboarding process.  Depending on tier level of person served, host home providers will receive 60% of residential waiver funding. Tier 1-4 is $92.35/day per diem.  Tier 5-7 is $124.46/day per diem.

 

Q: Am I an employee of DDM?

A: No, Host Home Providers are independent contractors.  You will use DDM’s Human Resource Information System for onboarding using the “employee self service portal” of Paycom.  This is used for Anchor Families (independent contractors) to collect required documentation for DBHDD’s host home approval process.
