To empower persons with developmental disabilities to achieve their highest level of social, physical, emotional and spiritual maturity.
Vision Statement
To provide and encourage a continuum of need-based services and Christian ministry for people with developmental disabilities so that each person may realize maximum developmental growth.

Core Values
- People with developmental disabilities are created in "God's Image" and therefore have intrinsic worth, value and dignity.
- DDM supports the right of people with developmental disabilities to have access to services and the opportunity for full participation in the community.

Strategic Plan 2008-2010
The DDM Board of Trustees recently approved the following strategic planning goals for 2008-2010:
1. Build endowment
2. Information technology and backup upgrades
3. Develop residents' Volunteer Program
4. Board of Trustees development, recruitment and diversity training
5. Facilities improvement and maintenance
6. Vehicle management
7. Establish apartments, homes, natural support/in-home care where needs are greatest
8. Fill home vacancies
9. 85% of residents on Medicaid Waivers
10. Increase opportunities for staff development and education
11. Staff recruitment/retention
12. Strengthen Corporate Compliance Program
13. Increase DDM awareness with general public
14. Help churches minister to people with disabilities
15. Administrative office reorganization
16. Study possibility of new ministries, ie. camping program, autism specialization, senior adults homes, etc.
These goals are checked regularly and amended as necessary. Goals are not listed in order or priority. These goals were established with input from surveys completed by annual staff, residents, and parents and by utilizing information from performance and risk management reports.
The 2009 DDM Survey of residents, families, staff, medical professionals, churches, day programs, trustees and the general community showed that DDM continues to provide the highest quality of effective and efficient service, reasonable access to service delivery, and overall satisfaction of residents and other stakeholders.
Suggestions for improvement have been taken into consideration for future action. Performance goals developed in this Information Management and Performance Improvement Report will be used to facilitate organizational decision-making and strategic planning.
Business practices were also evaluated during this survey period, including: risk management, corporate compliance, insurance upgrades, technology upgrades, strategic plan review, accessibility checks, incident reviews, and the executive succession plan. These reports indicate DDM continues to follow ethical and professional business practices and remains up-to-date on policies and procedures.
