CARF Accreditation
Since 2002, Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc., has received the maximum three-year accreditation by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This national accreditation is directly related to the scope and quality of services provided by an organization for people with developmental disabilities. Accreditation assures that the best services and practices are being provided to people with developmental disabilities.
In September 2008, DDM received another excellent survey report and the maximum three-year accreditation from CARF. Accreditation was given for:
- Community Services: Community Housing
- Community Services: Community Housing (Older Adults)
- Community Services: Community Integration
- Community Services: Community Integration (Older Adults)
- Community Services: Supported Living
- Governance Standards Applied
CARF expressed appreciation for many of DDM strengths, such as:
- An excellent public relations program and professional website
- New church services program assists in providing resources for churches
- Strong board leadership
- Strong administrative leadership
- A thriving and growing organization
- Excellent strategic plan
- Financially sound
- Comprehensive, well-written policies and procedures
- Residents and families interviewed were uniformly satisfied with services and complimentary of the organization’s integrity
- Hard-working staff is responsive to the needs of residents
- Dedicated professionals display genuine care and support for residents
- Attractive, safe, and healthy living environments for residents
- Health and safety of residents is a central focus
